Principal's Corner

Dear Hero Parents,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and to say hello. I am the new principal after just arriving from where I was stationed at the regional DoDEA office in Sembach, Germany. I come from a long line of a military families and have five busy sons that certainly keep my house hopping and my grocery bill growing.

I have been a middle school administrator in several locations and from experience, I can say there are so many great things happening at MMS! Middle School is a very challenging grade and our school is in a great place to support your child during this time. Our teachers are working hard to provide rigorous and engaging learning experiences as well as supporting students with "just in time" supports that are determined by our assessments. Additionally, our MFLC and counseling staff recognize the social challenges of middle school. We provide individual, small group, and whole classroom support about a variety of topics as well as help our students prepare for the next year in school with course selections and college and career planning.

Most important- please know that my door is always open. I truly feel blessed to serve Mahaffey and want to ensure this is safe and memorable time for you and your child. If you have any questions, stop in, give me a call, or drop me an email. I look forward to serving you.
